About Me

Hello, I'm Dr. Jessica Rose Lasater, a licensed clinical psychologist with over a decade of diverse experience in mental health care. Born and raised in the vibrant San Fernando Valley, my eclectic background has shaped a deep passion for understanding human nature and the connections that drive personal growth.

I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, with specialized training in Families and Couples Therapy, and I've spent my career dedicated to helping people transform their lives. My particular areas of focus include substance use disorders and dual diagnosis, where my expertise lies in uncovering the missing connections that lead to lasting change.

Whether you're seeking individual, couples, or family therapy, life coaching, or support for your child, I'm here to assess your unique situation and guide you toward a healthier, more fulfilling life. Throughout my career, I've worked with a wide range of mental health concerns — including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, autism, and more — helping individuals and families move toward meaningful, positive change.

Beyond direct clinical work, I bring experience in program leadership and consultation, having overseen residential and substance use treatment programs and collaborated with community partners to strengthen client care. I've also volunteered extensively throughout my career, reflecting a lifelong commitment to service.

I am committed to ongoing growth as a clinician — continually refining my skills and staying current with best practices so that I can offer the highest quality of care and knowledge to every patient and client I work with.

Work Experience

The Connected Psychology and Wellness Group

What began as The Connected Psychologist has grown into The Connected Psychology and Wellness Group — a natural evolution born from the opportunity to serve even more individuals, families, couples, and children facing diverse challenges. As our practice expanded, so did our capacity to offer specialized life coaching, helping clients navigate career development and build meaningful, lasting relationships.

Didi Hirsch: Division Director of Residential and Substance Use Services

I currently provide clinical and operational leadership across residential, crisis residential, and outpatient substance use programs. I oversee multidisciplinary teams, program supervisors, and clinical staff while supporting quality of care, regulatory compliance, documentation standards, and program performance. My role includes oversight of grant-funded services, program development, staff training, clinical consultation, and quality improvement initiatives. I collaborate with organizational leadership and community partners to strengthen service delivery, improve outcomes, and ensure continuity of care for individuals with complex mental health and substance use needs.

BNI Treatment Center: Clinical Psychologist/Consultant

During my time at BNI Treatment Center, I served as a consultant responsible for supervising post-doctoral fellows and offering crisis management support. In this capacity, I played a crucial role in training and instructing doctors in training, providing guidance on the appropriate modalities for therapeutic intervention, and fostering their professional development.

Tarzana Treatment Center: Senior Supervisor/Consultant

Throughout my nine years at Tarzana Treatment Center, I held various clinical and leadership roles, providing individual and family therapy, facilitating adolescent groups, and conducting comprehensive assessments with adults and youth with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. I was trained in Evidence-Based Practices, including Seeking Safety and MAP, and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams and community agencies. As a Senior Supervisor, I oversaw grant-funded programs and the pre-doctoral training program, provided clinical supervision, conducted chart audits, and trained staff on DMH documentation and billing requirements. I presently supervise youth interns and postdoctoral fellows, supporting their clinical training and professional development.
