Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if I should sign up for life coaching or psychological services?
Life coaching is designed to address specific areas of your life through practical, action-oriented interventions — think goal-setting, accountability, and forward momentum on things like career, relationships, or personal growth. Life coaching is offered directly with our founder, Dr. Jessi. Therapy, on the other hand, involves ongoing sessions aimed at addressing life stressors or mental health concerns, often alongside persistent symptoms such as anxiety, depression, or trauma, and is available with any of our clinicians. If you're navigating a specific goal and want a structured push forward, life coaching may be the right fit. If you're working through deeper emotional patterns or symptoms that are affecting your day-to-day life, therapy is likely the better starting point. If you're not sure which applies to you, we're happy to talk it through together and help you find the right fit.
Do you take insurance? Do you offer a sliding fee?
We are currently in network with Aetna, and we're actively working toward becoming in-network with several other health insurance providers. If we're not yet in-network with your specific plan, we're happy to work with you on a private-pay basis and provide a receipt (superbill) that you can submit to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement. Sliding fees can also be considered and discussed on a case-by-case basis.
What is your theoretical framework for psychology?
Our therapeutic approach centers around you and your surroundings. We strive to understand you and identify your resources and support systems to steer therapy toward practical, action-oriented steps. While creating a supportive space for processing, we aim to establish realistic goals alongside you. Our ultimate goal is to guide you toward a state of self-fulfillment within yourself and your environment..
